About DP-EVOLUTION

v1.0 — a browser-based synth and drum machine, also available as a Mac app.

Playing Notes

Click the piano keys to play, or plug in a USB MIDI keyboard. The ribbon strip above the keyboard bends your pitch — slide it and it holds wherever you leave it, rather than snapping back.

Drum Sequencer

Click any square in the step grid to turn that drum hit on or off, then hit PLAY. Each of the nine drum sounds has its own mute button, so you can drop sounds in and out live without losing the pattern underneath.

Arpeggiator

Turn on ARP HOLD and click a few keys — they'll stack into a chord instead of cutting out. Flip ARP ON and pick a pattern (Up, Down, Up/Down, or Random) to have those notes play themselves back in time with the beat.

Drum FX

Under the sequencer, each drum gets three small knobs: REV adds reverb, DLY adds a tempo-synced echo, and SHP adds grit and drive. All three start off, so nothing changes until you turn them up.

Synth Sound

Pick an engine (SuperSaw, Moog Bass, or FM Lead) on the top right, then shape it with the Filter Bank, Envelope, and Colour knobs below the sequencer. The Effects section adds chorus, echo, and reverb to the whole synth.

AI Bass Generator

Describe a bassline in plain English and it'll be programmed into the bass sequencer for you automatically — no need to click in every step by hand.

Mixing

The MIXER panel has separate volume knobs for the synth and the drums, plus individual levels for kick, snare, and hat.

Getting Sounds Out

Hit EXPORT DRUM WAV to download your current drum pattern as a ready-to-use audio file. Or route the whole synth into Logic, Ableton, or any DAW using BlackHole, a free virtual audio driver.

Browser or Mac App

Everything here runs the same whether you're in a browser tab or the standalone Mac app — pick whichever fits your workflow.
